Michael Fitzpatrick joins Personalis as Vice President Worldwide Sales
Menlo Park, CA – April 30, 2013 – Personalis today announced the appointment of Michael Fitzpatrick as Vice President Worldwide Sales. Mr. Fitzpatrick brings substantial experience in sales and sales operations in the life science industry, specifically related to DNA sequencing. In this newly created position, Mr. Fitzpatrick will be instrumental in helping drive the next phase of the company’s growth strategy.
Michael Fitzpatrick has 30 years of experience in global sales, new product and technology introductions and market development. Prior to joining Personalis, Mr. Fitzpatrick spent 20 years at Applied Biosciences, Inc. where he started as a Senior Sales Consultant. He also held various positions of increasing authority including Vice President of North American Sales and Field Operations, Vice President of Sales of the Molecular Biology Division and Vice President of Global Key Accounts. This tenure spanned the entire Human Genome Project and the subsequent transition to re-sequencing for disease research. Mr. Fitzpatrick later served as Vice President of Global Sales and Commercial Development at OpGen, Inc. In this role, he was responsible for establishing global sales and support channels in North America, Europe and Asia. Prior to joining OpGen, he was the Vice President of Global Sales and Support at Codon Devices, Inc. where he was the first commercial team member who built out their global sales and support teams.
